Just as a habit I started blogging and taking notes of everything I learn from day-to-day work. I joined a new company Members Equity Bank (ITMS) as an IT Support Analyst.
High Level Job Role:
· 1st Level System Support.
· 1st Level Network Support.
· 1st Level Application Support.
· 1st Level Database Support.
· 1st Level Web Support.
Basically we are the 1st level of contact for any IT related inquiry in the bank. We solve 80% of requests by bank users with in young group of 4 people (Including myself) and the rest (20%) will be escalated to 2nd level.
This is totally different from what I was doing (Development/Programming see my developer blog http://zitizonx.wordpress.com). It’s not that I didn’t like what I was doing, to be honest I loved what I was doing. But the environment change so badly and I couldn’t stand it. I don’t want to say it here.
Working as a System, Network and Security Engineer is one my dreams. The main reason why chose to study Network Computing at Monash University is to gain knowledge about how system, network and applications works. So I can get a total picture of the whole IT infrastructure of an organization.
